Special lecture on “Workplace Etiquette: A Guide for Freshers” Dated 3rd of November 2025, the Placement Cell (SLPC), of Government College Sultanpur, Farrukhnagar organized an insightful special lecture under the guidance of Dr. Sunita Rani, Principal, Govt. College, Sultanpur on “Workplace Etiquette: A Guide for Freshers” on 3rd of November 2025,. The session began at 10:00 AM with an introductory address by Ms. Pooja Kumari (Training and Placement Officer) who welcomed the speaker and the attendees. The resource person for the session was Dr. Parul, Assistant Professor at K.R. Mangalam University, Gurugram. She shared valuable insights on the importance of workplace behavior and professional ethics for fresh graduates entering the corporate world. To keep the students engaged, Dr. Parul asked interactive questions throughout the session. She explained the concept of etiquettes and discussed the essential do’s and don’ts for a professional environment, which included maintaining a formal dress code, being disciplined and punctual, avoiding indiscipline, cooperating with colleagues, showing confidence, and taking initiatives at work. She further highlighted the Rights in the Workplace, emphasizing that employees have the right to fair compensation, a safe and harassment-free environment, equality without discrimination based on gender, race, or caste, as well as the right to privacy, leaves, and to raise issues collectively or form associations. The session also covered Legal Aid, where Dr. Parul informed that in case of any workplace injustice, employees can raise their voice, and the District Legal Services Authority provides free legal assistance through panel advocates. Students asked questions to clarify their concepts and deepen their understanding. The event concluded by Dr. Swati, summarizing the key takeaways and extending a formal vote of thanks to the guest speaker on behalf of the college. Dr. Lamha, Dr. Priyanka, Dr. Garima Yadav, Dr. Devika, were acknowledged for their contribution to the successful organization of the special lecture
