Annual Athletic Meet 2025–26 Successfully Conducted at Government College, Sultanpur (Farrukhnagar), Gurugram Gurugram, November 11: The Third Annual Athletic Meet 2025–26 of Government College, Sultanpur (Farrukhnagar), Gurugram was successfully organized under the leadership of Principal Dr. Sunita Rani. The event took place in the college sports ground, where students participated with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Preparations for the event had been ongoing for several days, and the participants gathered early in the morning with high energy and excitement. The program commenced with Principal Dr. Sunita Rani presenting a bouquet to the chief guest. The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Indu Rao, Principal, Government Women’s College, Sector-52, Gurugram. The program was also graced by the Distinguished Guest, Dr. Sudesh, Retired Principal, Government College, Bhattu Kalan. In her address, Dr. Indu Rao highlighted that sports not only promote physical fitness but also foster qualities such as discipline, unity, and leadership. She encouraged students to participate equally in academics and sports to ensure their holistic development. A total of 13 competitions were organized, including 100-meter race, lemon race, three-leg race, javelin throw, discus throw, shot put, and long jump. In the Lemon Race, the winners in the Boys’ category were Mohit (First), Farinder (Second), and Ashish Kumar (Third), while in the Girls’ category, Khushboo, Khushi, and Jyotishna secured the top three positions respectively. In the Three-Leg Race, the winning pairs in the Boys’ category were Ashutosh & Rohit Panwar (First), Nikhil & Dhruv Yadav (Second), and Ashish Kumar & Nitin Saini (Third). In the Girls’ category, the pairs Varsha–Sheetal, Kajal–Riya, and Jyotishna–Muskan secured the first, second, and third positions respectively. In the 100-meter race, the winners among Boys were Mohit (First), Rahul Bhatia (Second), and Gaurav (Third), while in the Girls’ category, Saroj, Bharti, and Prerna emerged victorious. In the Javelin Throw, Sonu, Mohit, and Kunal achieved the top positions. In the Discus Throw, winners in the Boys’ category were Aakash Yadav, Sonu, and Yashbir, while in the Girls’ category, Bharti, Sapna, and Khushboo secured the top three ranks. In the Shot Put event, Sonu, Mohit, and Rohit Panwar were the top three among boys, and Bharti, Renu, and Niyat among girls. In the Long Jump, the Boys’ category winners were Rahul (First), Rohit (Second), and Ashutosh (Third), whereas in the Girls’ category, Bharti, Khushboo, and Deepanshi secured first, second, and third places respectively. The title of Best Athlete was awarded to Mohit (B.Com I Year) in the Boys’ category and Bharti (B.A. II Year) in the Girls’ category for their outstanding overall performances. The event was compered by Dr. Lalita Gaur and Ms. Anupama. The program was successfully coordinated by Mr. Rohit Sharma, Sports In-charge, who also proposed the vote of thanks. All teaching and non-teaching staff members were present on this occasion and encouraged the participants. The event reinforced the values of sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork among students.
